Sustainability

We are committed to providing a low-waste conference. Please bring your own bag, water bottle, reusable coffee-cup (for coffee on-the-go), and any stationery you may require. Water stations will be available throughout the venue.  All program information can be found online.  A large printed program will be available in the Conference Lobby area.  You should print your own program and papers in advance if required.  Please leave your plastic name badge holders at reception on your departure as they can be reused.

Weather

It’s currently summer in Fremantle, typically characterised by warm (~30°C) days and mild nights (~19°C). In the Nyoongar indigenous weather calendar, this season is known as 'Bunuru’ or ‘season of adolescence’. Bunuru is the hottest time of the year with little to no rain. Hot easterly winds continue with a cooling sea breeze most afternoons if you're close to the coast. Bunuru is also a time of the white flowers with lots of white flowering gums in full bloom, including Jarrah, Marri and Ghost Gums. Keep an eye on the forecast.

Lunch

Don’t forget that lunch is NOT provided in registration (except for special workshops or activities that require registration). There’s a variety of lunch options at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges and nearby food outlets, restaurants, cafes and pubs.
